MILITARY-GRADE DROP PROTECTION

As the above material makes clear, Speck has tested a number of its cases and determined that the identified cases meet or exceed certain standards often used by the military to determine effectiveness of protection. To be clear, this does not mean that your devices will never break. If you drop them hard enough, or from high enough, or at just the wrong angle, your device may still be damaged. And if you happen to drop your device into a river of molten lava, Speck case or no Speck case, let it go. Cause it’s gone.

Per our limited liability warranty, Speck has no liability for any damage or destruction to consumer electronic devices or other personal property that are in the products, including, without limitation, laptops, cell phones, MP3 players, DVD players or handheld devices, or any loss of data contained in the foregoing devices.

Our DuraFolio for iPad Air harnesses military-grade protection into a slim and functional folio for all-around protection without the bulk. Take your iPad Air wherever you go, and for whatever you do, without worrying about everyday drops and spills. So for sleek style and military-grade protection in one durable iPad Air case, get DuraFolio from Speck. Backed by a one-year warranty.

Looks nice and provides protection, but the iPad slips a lot on the stand, which only works in landscape view. Pretty pricey, IMHO, given the limited functionality.

ive had speck cases for my laptops, bought covers as gifts for other people's iPads, and finally got my own iPad so was excited about the durafolio case. it seemed to have everything i wanted - good drop protection, reasonable price, a variety of viewing angles, and magnetic wake/sleep. i suppose it hits all of the points, but somehow the case feels flimsy and cheap - i can see the underside of the cover material at the point where the case folds, and it feels like it won't last. the volume buttons aren't flush with the iPad which bothers me, and the mute button is annoying hard to get at once the cover is in place. the front cover slides a little, but i can't tell if its waking up the iPad accidentally or not. now i feel kind of dumb for ordering the durafolio before i got the iPad (wanted to get the cover on it right away), because i am past the 30 day return window and i would have returned the case if i could.

The case looks great and it's sturdy. However, there are a few issues that I have discovered. The front cover slips easily which enables the "auto-awake" feature. I can see this being a problem for people who store their iPads in a bag or purse. Another reviewer mentioned the rubber stretches out around the volume buttons. This is true. I don't see it as being a problem with functionality. However, for the price, it should be corrected. Overall, it's an "ok" product. Since the price is so high and there's a flaw with the front cover, I'll probably return it.

I love Speck products because they are slim, protective, functional and have fun colors. I got speck case for my iPhone and then my samsung phone.

So I had to get Speck case for my iPad Air. I almost got speck style folio case but decided on Durafolio in fuchsia white color. This folio case is made of quality durable material and the color is stunning. It keeps iPad protected while maintaining slim profile and still lightweight. My wishlist is that the volume buttons were easier to press, the typing mode had magnets to hold it on place, when fold case back that it displays the fuchsia side instead of inner lining side.

I enjoy using my Durafolio case and got so many compliment about it. It's a keeper. Highly recommended!

Awesome case for iPad Air! It's sturdy and protects it really well without adding a lot of bulk. The back magnet is also really strong and great at keeping the back flap in place. Buttons are all really easy to use. Highly recommended for anyone looking to buy a protective case while keeping the iPad Air looking stylish.

I'm sure this is an awesome case, and have largely considered purchasing based on my past experiences with SPEK products. However, how much more awesome would it be for those that don't want the folio design? Perhaps a hybrid of this and the candy shell?

The case looks very nice, and it feels quite protective. However, I'm not thrilled.
    Two Issues:
    1) The rubber is stretched out funny where it covers the volume buttons, so it doesn't actually sit flush and cover the bezel. I've emailed CS about this because I'm hoping it's a bad copy, not a global problem.
    2) The front cover slips without much pressure when closed, and it takes barely any movement for it to wake up the ipad. It's bad enough I suspect carrying it in my shoulder bag would be enough to cause a battery drain unless I disable the auto awake.
