My case is completely trashed, it is broken and prob should be replaced but my phone is not scratched or broken with it. I think it also helps that I have screen protectors on the front and back.

This phone case does protect the phone from major drops and falls, but breaks very easily. The sliver od case in between the connector and home button broke right away. I take the case off occasionally to plug it into my dad's car to listen to music and it breaks very easily. Do not recommend..

I love this phone case a lot. Helps my phone be protected no matter the drop. It also fits in my pocket and doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. The back scratches really easily, but hey, isn't that why I got a case to begin with? I want it to protect the phone from harm. The BIG downside for me is that the dock connecter area isn't reinforced so the plastic broke off eventually, taking the rubber edge with it. Something similar happened to the plastic piece up by the volume switch. I love this case, but with a few improvements I would love it even more.

I purchased a Speck CandyShell in November 2011 but by April 2012 with normal use the case had broken between the dock connector and home button. Whilst the White/Charcoal case looked really nice on the phone, the plastic is very thin at this point and other users have reported the same issue suggesting that this is a weak point in the design.
Although Speck supplied a replacement case under warranty I decided to buy a Speck FabShell Burton in June 2012 which also had issues with the fabric coming away from the sides of the case as of January 2013.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend eiether of these cases as I would not purchase them again.

I just bought a candy shell today and I love it, I dropped my phone on wooden floor and no harm was done to the case or phone thankfully, this case is very durable, protective and has a nice design.

I just bought this case in SeaDragon Purple. I really love the colors but I was hesitant to buy it online cause the purple seemed to dark. Then I went to Target and saw it and the purple was lighter than in the picture and I prefer it a lot more. It's seems very protective and very good quality. The rubber inside and the hard shell on the outside protects it a lot. I'm very satisfied with the case and it will probably be the only case I use.

The phone literally bounces when dropped, the biggest downfall is that the case cracks easily at the corners and where the charger goes its falling apart. I ve go e through two cases. Speck replaced the first one second one past warranty. Not sure if I will get a third one.

Q: How do I put on and remove the CandyShell case off my iPhone 4S/4?

A: The CandyShell is "bendy" and "flexible"! Insert the bottom corners of your iPhone 4/4S into the bottom of the case, gently bending the flexible CandyShell around the iPhone 4S/4. Once the bottom is in, flex the top corners of the case around the top of your iPhone 4S/4. To remove the CandyShell, place your thumbs right on the Speck logo on the back of the case, and use your fingers to gently flex and bend the top corners of the CandyShell off of the top corners of your iPhone 4S/4. Make sure to gently press the back of the case with your thumbs as you bend the top corners, it will make it much easier to pop your iPhone 4S/4 out of the CandyShell!. Once you have the top of your iPhone 4S/4 out, the bottom will slip off easily.

Q: What is the CandyShell made of?

A: CandyShell has a soft rubber inside with a hard plastic outside! The soft inside and hard shell outside are molded together into one case, they do not separate. The inner soft part of the case and the touch-thru button protectors are made of TPE, the outer shell is a hard polycarbonate plastic.
