short life...not worth the price

i have the fitted case. i love the fabric and it was easy to snap on. soon after i got it, the fabric started unraveling at the edges, but i clipped off the frayed pieces and continued to be happy. then the edges of fabric started pulling loose. i wasn't even too upset about that. lately, however, after just over a year, the corners started coming unsnapped for no apparent reason. now the top piece has broken in two, so that it's not usable. it was treated very carefully...not even removed but maybe 2-3 times to clean iPod. no trauma at all...never dropped...it simply broke out of the blue. definitely not worth the price, regardless of how attractive it looks. :-(((

I got this case on sale (It was only $8.00) a year ago. It is a very durable case, on the bottom half. The case is a two-part snap together case. It is very cute and stylish. The back is a little darker, but not drastically. It is very easy to get the buttons, and no pain at all to snap together. DO NOT TAKE THE FIRST HALF ON AND OFF. Leave it alone!!! Mine, didn't break because of this, but my friends' have. Anyways, the top half of my case cracked completely in a corner and is broken. I have a stretched out silicone case from Casemate, but it is not as good as this one. So I still use the bottom half of this Speck case. I need a new case. This website no longer has good sales or the 2nd generation cases. I will (sadly) not be using Speck anymore.

I really like this case for the design, but i did have some problems with it after normal use for 6 months. I didnt have any problem with the case snapping on, like other people have said, but i did have troubles with the fabric. After a few months, the sides - where your hand would come in contact with the fabric when your holding it normally - started to develop some type of black goo. I think its from the oils on your hands and the glue beneath the fabric creating this stuff, but its not really a pain. Its only barely sticky and the main problem is that it ruins the aesthetics of the case. Other than that, though i have had no problems with this case.

After reading some of these reviews, I really wonder what they do to their cases- I've had mine for over a year and it still fits together and hasn't started peeling at all. It looks a little darker than it used to, but a Clorox wipe easily fixes that. It would be in perfect condition if I hadn't dropped it several times and received a crack in one the corners and on the side, but nonetheless it still works pretty well.

I posted in March about my black and white plaid cover... The folks at Speck were gracious enough to replace my 2 month old case that no longer stayed snapped. I got the same one only new. Snapped it on perfectly. Noticed a piece of paper got snapped in by mistake and took cover off and now the same issue... corner won't stay snapped! I was considering gluing it shut until I read the last post. Now what???

First, it didn't snap into place, so I glued it shut. It kept breaking. Enough that the iPod could slip out.

I was in love with this case from the start and loved the feel of the fabric...until the fabric started peeling away from the case. I'm pretty careful with my products, especially my brand new iPod Touch and was very disappointed that the fabric started coming off.

It was OKAY. I really liked the design and was willing to pay 30$ for a itouch case. BUT the fabric started to peel off at the edges? Oh well

I love this product. I have purchased 3 covers for my iPod Touch. And I have been greatly disappointed by all of them until I saw this product and decided to give it a try. I have dropped my iPod maybe 4 or 5 times while using this cover, and it has protected the iPod. When it hit the floor the cover opened upon impact only. But there was no scratch or damage on the iPod at all... And there was no damage, as far as I can see on the cover itself. It really does provide ample protection and coverage for the iPod. I would highly recommend this product. Love the different designs. And would love to get more. I just wish the price isn't too expensive. I think they are rather pricey. Its almost the same cost as an Ipad cover... but I guess it is worth it...
