all 3 have cracked. plus 2 others on my kids mbp's. the concept is great - think, hard, see thru. but i am on my 3rd, and have had less than 2 months. first the edges crack, then splits across the top. i would opt for something slightly thicker in the hopes that the plastic would be more durable. I have enjoyed speck products in the past, but unfortunately, not this design.

This Speck case it amazing. It fits well and shines through. My friend has the Satin one and as I touch the Satin, the finger prints and the sweat from your hand really stands out on Satin. But the SeeThru doesn't have that problem. It never moves when I open my laptop. It's great. One problem is that I just broke the little tipped part for to click onto the computer TODAY....But it works with no problem. I found this case very amazing and I absolutely LOVE it!!

I have the SeeThru and it's awesome. My friend has a satin one but the finger prints gets on the case too much. Mine doesn't and it shines more the Satin. Love it.

I have been using this product for a while now and not had any problems with cracking or anything. The case not only looks great but also does it's job of protecting my macbook air from scratches.

I received this case as a gift, and didn't realize the price until I came on this site looking to replace it. Why? Because after less than a year, it is broken to the point where the bottom piece won't stay on (however, as it was a gift I doubt I can get the information necessary to get anything from the warranty). My Air travels in an incase sleeve as well, and I never dropped it. Normal wear-and-tear from carrying it around in my backpack did it in--which wouldn't be as disappointing if it weren't for the price.

I got a clear case. It was so tight that it literally warped the shape of my MacBook Air so that the track pad would no longer click properly. When removed, the click on the track pad slowly returned to normal. Luckily my Mac store took it back no questions asked.

The case looks good and it's good for school so the outside doesn't get scratched up but it is IMPOSSIBLE to take off without feeling like it will crack.

Nice case and helps to keep your Air scratch free. If you take the case off and on a lot the bottom starts to get loose. People! This case is only going to protect your Air from scratches. No case this thin will protect your Air from a drop!

It's a pretty flimsy case, but it's also for a MacBook Air, so it's not like I would want a heavy case. The case has some rough edges that I feel could have been smoothed out at the Speck Factory. It cracked within the first month, but I don't think it has affected the protection of the case. I'll probably have to buy another, or check out the warranty unless I find another product.

I added this case to my late 2010 MacBook Air within a few days of purchasing it. It snapped on tightly and did its job protecting the top and bottom. However a crack on the top element developed shortly thereafter (starting at the edge above the headphone jack) and has continued to grow, similar to a cracked windshield. I treat my MacBook with a lot of TLC so I've no idea why the crack developed...it certainly didn't take any abuse.

I like the case, but for the price a crack should not have developed right away. Disappointing.
