Just bought this less than two months ago and it has already cracked in multiple locations. I've had one in the past for a previous macbook pro and the same thing happened. Not worth $50. Don't waste your money.

I just purchased this Satin cover for my new Pac. It look great, feel great but I was disappointed that after just a few days (3) of having I was showing off at work and noticed scratches at the bottom of it. I was surprised and shocked to see, being that I am so careful with my Mac.
It was easy to installed and as I said looks and feels great, but it scratches easily

Ordered the SeeThru Satin for my rMBP and it came in today... Followed the directions for install and everything seemed pretty straight forward. Tight fit, so far no creaking at points... The case itself seems very well made, as are all of Speck Products. I have been using a Candy Shell on my iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 for years now and they are amazing... A little pricey but hell, I paid $3,000 for the computer, whats another $50 to protect it? Would purchase again, and recommend to friends!

Well made product. Very nice snug fit with a soft feel and a smooth look. Wish it would of been released with the Hardware. Better a scratched cover than the Laptop..

This See Thru Case was a bit pricy but there is nothing else that compares in price or quality. There is a suggestion that the case be removed monthly since static tends to build up dust and grime between the macbook and the see thru case> Your working environment or the place or bag in which you carry your macbook will dictate how often you should remove and clean your case. Removing the case is a bit of a chore and will affect the integrity of your case over time. Nothing lasts forever. The apple store where I purchased the case was out of the blue case so I had to get the clear colourless one. It does however show your Macbook pro almost in its natural form.
