I found this g m at Target on sale for $30. So functional and loved the scoop that directs sound of the built in speakers towards the user. Why didn't Apple think about this feature.

I had this Speck case for my iPad 2 and loved it. Perfectly my my needs whil adding very little bulk or weight. Naturally I bought one for my new iPad Air 2 and am very disappointed. Whereas the earlier version had a smooth plastic frame, this one has a sharp plastic ridge around the edge, making it uncomfortable for holding, especially when reading. I do like the new clasp but am frustrated at the very uncomfortable feel. I hope that you fix this.

I was happy with the case until, I started having problems with the icons and everything else being enlarged on the iPad air 2. Could not change to normal size until I popped it out of case. Went to normal size immediately as it was released. Question if pressing too hard on sides of iPad? Otherwise I liked it because it gave great protection to the iPad.

After a lot of research on iPad Air 2 cases and not many available even a month after launch, I decided on this case, even though the colors I wanted weren't yet in stock and now are. I really like the faux leather and the inside microfiber.

The case is not too thick, but a bit on the heavy side. The case is made for both Air 1 and 2, and it feels like it, with wider cutouts that Apple changed and, to save money, Speck made one case fit both.

The perimeter edges are very sharp, and, while the Air 2 is thinner so it sits further, where the Air 1 would fit has sharp edges too.
I do not know, for the life of me, why they used the plastic closure clasp- either have a magnet or a bungee or something; the plastic is very tight, which is good, but I fear it may break after a few months.

I like the protection I get from the case and really feel that the viewing angles in the cover are great and extremely sturdy, best that I've used.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this case for value, price and functionality.

I got this ipad case along with my ipad air about 7 months ago, and over all I am satisfied with the case. Protection wise, I am very careful with my ipad, so I have no opinion about if it is protecting against major drops and other types of damage. I love the color, but before I ended up getting the pink on pink combination I attempted to buy the white case with the blue designed only to purchase a warped case that would not fit my ipad. Granted I bought this in a store instead of the online speck website, but it is still a speck product. I like my case, but I wish that it had more protection around the screen area. The body of the case is okay, but recently I have been noticing that part of the cases is peeling off as well as there being loose strings hanging off of the stitching. I have had multiple speck cases for my iphone and they are very good at protecting my phone from drops, but I have noticed them along with my ipad to begin to "come apart" slowly, which is not what I expected from a big company like speck.

I always read the reviews of items that I would like to purchase. This is a great case. I read some reviews that mentioned rough corners or edges....where? There are no rough edges, ipad snaps right into case, nice clasp to close it, great design al around. Buy it!!

I had to buy an iPad for school, so of course I wanted to get a great case to protect it. I had a Speck case for my MacBook Pro, and it was great, so I decided to get a Speck case for my iPad. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was, so I bought one. I have had this case since August, and it was protected my iPad from minor drops. I love the case design idea, however when I use the "grooves" to fold my iPad up at a 45 degree angle, the groove wore out and it isn't deep anymore. In fact, it is quite shallow now and is difficult to hold my iPad up. Overall, the case is great at protection, but fine-tuning the issues mentioned above is crucial.

Case feels tight with closing attachment. But I added a Velcro to top and bottom cover so that it hold the case at a 45 degree angle for typing. My prior case by Belkin had a protrusion to hold the IPad in 45 degree angle.

I've put Speck cases on my iPod touch, my iPhone, my iPad Mini, and now my iPad Air. Great experience until this iPad Air case. Bought the first one in December, and a shard from the corner came out when I brushed my hand past it 3 months later. Cracks in the corner like some others have noticed. I purchased another case and kept the iPad (with the speck case) in a padded carrier when transporting. 4 months later, I end up nearly cutting my hand as a piece comes out of the corner of the new case. I've babied this second case, but it doesn't hold up. Meanwhile my iPad mini case has been solid for 2 years running, even stored at times in my Wife's purse banging around with keys and other objects.

I won't be buying this case again.
