I was really excited to get this case, but the fabric started peeling off really quickly. Protection wise, it's a great case (I drop mine all the time and it hasn't cracked at all) but the quality of the fabric was disappointing for the price.

I bought the floral one, and loved it at first. It was so cute , but after a month the flower pattern peeled off. I was really disappointed.

I've had my plaid case, which I no longer see on the website, for 18 months, and just now the fabric is starting to peel a bit. It has protected the phone from lots of drops and being tossed in lots of bags and pockets. I was warned that the fabric could peel, but the slim protection and the style were worth it! I was just doing some debating about new case or gluing and waiting for a new phone.

I bought my speck fabshell iphone 4s case with the different shades of striped blue and 14 months later it's still in perfect shape but very dirty. (Colours are nowhere near as fresh and vibrant as day 1). This case has protected my phone so well there is not a scratch ANYWHERE in sight. The case is so durable and strong fitted that the only issue I have is taking it on and off ...can be a bit of a hassle. Happy with this product!

I bought the green and yellow plaid fabshell a few months ago. I know that's when I bought it because I bought it right after I got my 4S. A couple months into it the fabric started peeling up. I tried to fix it but it would just peel the next day. Shortly there after the fabric started "stringing" and when you pull the string it like a sweater unraveling. If you burn or cut the string you still have this annoying pokey spot on your phone. I was just going to buy another one thinking this was defective until I heard all the reviews and talked to other people that had them. I'm not rough with my phone at all. But apparently this is just what happens with these cases. I was told speck would replace or exchange the case for me but when they found out i didn't have the receipt they wanted nothing to so with me. Who keeps a three month old receipt for something they didn't expect to have issues with? The store would not give me another copy so they said they couldn't help. They wouldn't even let me give serial numbers from the box or send in the case to prove the damage. What kind of business is that? I won't be buying speck products again.

I bought the FreshMesh Pink with my iPhone 4s (2 years ago!!) and it is still going strong. The biggest problem with this case is that the fabric gets VERY dirty. I'm thinking with my next case I will try to spray a fabric guard to see if that keeps it clean. Other than that, I am very hard on my phones. I have dropped my phone numerous times and it has landed every way possible (flat on the front/back, hitting edges, etc.) and I have never gotten so much as a scratch! I do have one of the cheap screen protectors that you get at the Verizon store. I also dropped my phone in water one time....I quickly grabbed it out and dried the face off, then I took the case off to dry the rest off and it was completely dry. My phone was still perfect afterward. All of the buttons are covered with this case so I have not had any problems with any of them (dropped it in water over 6 months ago). As for the fabric coming off, I havent really had a problem. A few days ago I did pull at a tiny fray which caused a domino effect (BUT that was my own stupid fault!) After two years, I think I can handle one fray....

Moral: I love this case and plan to get the same kind when I get a new phone.

I purchased this case in "MegaPlaid Spectrum" at my local Apple retail store. I loved the colors, however, a few months after dropping $35 on this case, the side fabric started to peel away. I was able to keep "re-sticking" it for a bit before the whole piece lost it's stickiness and I had to peel the rest off.

I continued to use the case despite the eyesore of the bare sides, but I would never recommend anyone spend money on this particular case.

I fell in love with my first FabShell and besides getting dirty, it lasted for a year. Only towards the end of the year did I finally start to get a little bit of peeling fabric, but I was able to super glue it back on with no problems. I decided I wanted another FabShell because I liked the protection it gave without the bulk and really liked the uniqueness of the designs. I only wish there were more patterns to pick from!

I got my first fabric case last year. It lasted me almost an entire year, survived many many drops, in all sorts or situations. I NEVER had to worry about my phone cracking. In the last few months, I noticed a corner of the case start to crack (I take the case off a lot in order to dock it or plug it into a speaker). It was only visible on the inside of the case, where the plastic backing is. Over the next couple months, the plastic back eventually cracked entirely and I had to get a new case after 11 months of use. The ONLY peeling issue I had was very slight peeling at the bottom near the charging port. This is a great, sturdy case and will last a long time if you treat your phone right.

Loved the look of it. And the case protects from bumps and drops. But after a few weeks the fabric peeled off. Expensive for the short time it lasts.
